Madilin Iris Hawkes

I konw this is a little late. Madi my niece (Jaci and Jearame's daughter) turned 8 last September and was baptized in Novemeber. She asked her Grandpa Anderson to baptize her and her Grandpa Hawkes to confirm her. She is such a sweetheart. She has always been the happiest girl and she makes me laugh at some of the things she says and does. We are so proud of her decision to get baptised and become a member of the church. We love you very much Madi!!!

This last weekend we went out to my mom's for their primary Christmas party and they did "Polar Express". They first gave every kid who wanted to go a ticket. Everyone wore there pj's and brought there blankets and pillows. Then they had the bus come around and pick everyone up at their houses. So they came and picked all the grand-kids up at my mom's house. My aunt Jeannine was the conductor on the train and she was cute. She punched everyone's ticket as they gave it to her to get on the train. They rode around and picked everyone else up. They ended up at the school where we met them and ate sacked lunches, popcorn, and hot chocolate. Then they all laid on the floor with their blankets and pillows and watched polar express. Maylee pretty much just ran around and danced all night. They gave each child a bell and then Santa came. It was so much fun for the kids.

YEAH!!!

In most of my pictures of Maylee, she has a binkie in her mouth. She constantly is asking for her binkie and I hate it. I am sick of always loosing them and buying new ones. The only thing that I like about them is that when she is crying in church or somewhere that you want her to be quiet, just stick it in and she's good. Well last week we only had two binkies and she threw one in the toilet so I threw it away. And then on Friday we went shopping with my sisters and she lost it somewhere. Well I was going to buy new ones before we went home, but I didn't. So I thought I would try and not give it to her. She kept asking me for it but I told her that it went bye-bye in the toilet so she was saying bye-bye binkie and went to sleep without it. I was so happy. She hasn't had one since. Though sometimes when she gets tired or board she will ask me for it, but I just try to ignore her. I thought it was going to be really hard to get rid of that thing, but it is going really well. YEAH!!!

Things I am Thankful for......

I was thinking I guess it is almost Thanksgiving & I should write some things down that I am thankful for....

1-My Heavenly Father and the Gospel.
You know I am not perfect and I have had trails in my life, but all of this would not be possible without my Heavenly Father in my life. I have learned so much just in the few last years of my life that has brought me so much closer to the gospel, thanks to my little primary class. Sometimes they teach me more than I teach them.

2-My little family-
My husband is such a hard worker and would do anything for us. He is such a great example and keeps us going each day. Though sometimes have been rough and we have had our problems, I am very thankful to have him in our lives. And he is such a great father to our daughter, and she just loves him!
My daughter, although sometimes she is a handful, I am very thankful to have her be a part of our family. I never thought I could be so happy as when she was born. I am so thankful that I could get the opportunity to say home with her and be a full-time mom!

3-My Family and In-laws-
My family means everything to me. I am most greatful for my mom & dad for always being there for me, even in my younger days when I was not the best child they always let me know they would be there for me (I don't know how they made it through the four of us children). My sisters and sister in-law are my best friends.
My in-laws are also a very important part of our lives. I am thankful for their willingness to always watch Maylee and help us out whenver we need it.
I am also greatful for my nieces and nephews. I love each and every one of them individually. I love to watch them all grow and give their mothers what was coming to them!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

What The Heck....

So yesterday I was on the computer and Maylee was out in the living room watching Barney. It started being awfully quiet and I could hear little tapping noises. So I decided to go out and check on her. And here is what I found...

Yes Baby powder everywhere. I didn't know if I should laugh or get mad, but I just laughed. She had powder all over the table, the floor, and her. The only good thing about it is that my house smelled good like baby powder. She is such a angel!!!
